I have a love for all things cheesesteaks. So any place that calls themselves a cheesesteak factory has created high expectations for me. Luckily all my expectations were exceeded!!

Cheesesteak was wonderful, the meat very flavorful, bread soft, I thought it was a little pricy but most things are in the Myrtle Beach area,

These Cheesesteaks are legit and packed with meat too. I spent less than $30 on two large sandwiches, an order of fries, two drinks, and an order of fried pickles. In no means considered pricey in my book. I had mine with mushrooms, onions, and American cheese. I like them with the cheese wiz but, felt like American at the time - don't judge. I'd like to try their buffalo chicken one too but that's for another day. The place is pretty small. They have a walk up counter to order and a handful of booths and tables to sit at. There's a pepper bar where you can help yourself to adding all sorts of hots to your sub and if you're looking for something other than a cheesesteak (not sure why you'd do that) they have plenty of options as well.

I went to this establishment based on the reviews. I expected the cheesesteak sandwich to be on par with a genuine Philly cheesesteak and was deeply disappointed. I even paid for a side of extra cheese because I could hardly see the cheese whiz in the sandwich. The meat had no flavor on its own and was not tender or of good quality. On the other hand, my daughter enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich. The cheese fries were okay.

All I can say is amazeballs! Oversized ..The LOADED Philly was out of this world.... they also have a small pepper bar if you would like to spice it up. Price is reasonable since the sandwiches are so big! Under $30 w sweet potatoes and a soft drink. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Eat here everytime we come to myrtle beach. My wife does the traditional philly everytime and loves it. I've ventured out to other styles of cheese steaks they have and have loved them all. My favorite is the Ghost of peppers past but even when asked for a 10 for spiciness I wish it was a little spicier. Wish we had a Cheese steak factory back home in Maryland....

When we drove by the other day, we said that HAD to try this place. So today we did. My chicken cheesesteak was good, though, by the end, I felt that it had too much cheese (and I LOVE cheese!). My husband loves a good cheesesteak but he said that he'd rate his a 6.5. I will say that everything was fresh and there was a lot of meat in both subs.

Damn, this was our first place we wanted to go to when we got to myrtle beach and it did not let us down. We got there a half an hour before it was going to lose and the staff was so sweet and helpful. I was not going to eat in because I did not want to make them stay late, but they told us not to worrie and eat in. Te food was perfect the service was great and we will be back. P.S. try the sweet potato fries the best we ever had.

I've only ever ordered the cheese steak. And the fries. Everyone should check this place out at least once... A week. :-) Seriously though, very good food.

I have traveled and eaten all over the US...this is the closest to what you would get in Philly that I've had south of Virginia. The bread makes the sandwich! I commented in the authentic taste if the bread and was informed their bread is shipped from Philly! Great place to eat, good prices for the beach! The kids actually loved it as well!

Thanks to yelp we found this small hole in the wall place and it was awesome! We had a hot pepper cheesesteak and a grilled chicken cheesesteak and chili cheese fries, everything was perfect. The sandwiches were overflowing with meat and cheese. You have to try this place:)

We're from Philly and have ALWAYS been skeptical about cheesesteaks away from home being burned many times. This place was right next to our hotel so we deceded to give it a try after a tiring day. We ordered an old fashion cheesesteak w/ provolone, onions, and of course ketchup, and also got a little adventurous and ordered a buffalo wings chicken cheesesteak. The price was very reasonable ($8.25 for a 10") and the taste made us feel right at home! Will definitely come again.

This is one of my favorite places. They have a drive thru window too. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak is amazing! This place is a must try lunch spot in Surfside.

Wife and I ate there based on all the reviews we read. Turns out everyone was right. Hamburger was fantastic, the chicken/steak & bacon cheesesteak was stupid delicious. Like it needed a dunce cap it was that stupid good. Don't take my word for it, drive over and eat one yourself. You will be mad if you don't, and let's face it life is too short to live with that kind of regret.

I visited this place last week and I can honestly say they made the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had outside of Philly! The owner and staff were superb. We had a party of 20+ from South Jersey and they easily handled our group. If you ever visit Myrtle Beach and enjoy cheesesteaks, be sure and eat here!

Cool place had the ghost pepper cheese steak loved it. The closest thing to the original cheese steak if you ever had it.

I have to say the food is decent. Large amount of meat on the subs. As for condiments and toppings not so much. I got a build your own. It was a steak with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, green peppers, and banana peppers sub with mayo, tomato, and lettuce. I'm from WV and we have a local shop that has steak and cheese subs which is way better in comparison. They are really friendly and a super nice family place. We got there around 6 and they really weren't busy. But it was our last night at the beach and didn't want to travel too far. My son's kid meal came with fries and those were outstanding. I wish we would've ordered fries instead of the perogies. Kinda pricey too.

FIRST! Wow this place brings me back to my winter and summer vacations in Surfside. Of course I ordered a cheesesteak with the stereotypical cheese wiz. I'm no wiz, but I know a cheesesteak when I see a cheesesteak. This restaurant is a great place to take your children. They are family friendly. I hope you all come to eat here.

Best cheesesteak I've had since I left Jersey. They actually bring their bread in from Philly. Good stuff.

Appeases the cheese steak fiend of my wife! She is very picky about her sandwiches. Good prices, well worth it.

Best Damn Cheesesteaks at the beach. So good everything is so damn delicious. I swear if you had a bad meal here your taste buds aren't working right. Must Visit Place if you're at Myrtle Beach

  • Kyle K.

Under new ownership, a guy from Philly owns it now and you can tell immediately. Prices are still a little steep but are completely worth it as portions have increased, taste is on-par with the best of them, and the staff really goes out of your way to make sure you're satisfied. Plus, their sweet potato fries were out of this world. Change is good.

My friends brought me here after I was quite clear that I don't care for cheesesteaks. When you're not a fan of cheesesteaks, why would you eat at "The Cheesesteak Factory"? Thank God they did! I would not have discovered the best pierogies I've ever had! So delicious! My church sells pierogies for a fundraiser twice a year and they are quite good, but The Cheesesteak Factory's pierogies are delicious, homemade pillows of goodness! I didn't eat anything else so the only other things I can comment on is the staff and the building itself...the staff was nice and pretty good at explaining their products, the owner/manager went out of his way to see our table was satisfied and the place was clean. Would I go back? Yes, now that I've seen that the menu is more than steak sandwiches. I'd make a special trip for the pierogies alone!

Worth a stop! Very yummy cheesesteak sandwhich. The small was a good size. Good onion rings too, I'm picky about those! Service was a bit slow and I wouldn't say nice either and apparently the entire restaurant gets served soup all at the same time. By the time we got our soup we were done eating. We ended up taking it to go. Place was a bit dirty/dated but overall I'd go back.

I'm being generous when I say that this place is mediocre at best. I expected a lot more from a restaurant with so many references to Philadelphia.Their flagship sandwich Philly cheese steak tasted like it was made with hamburger helper mix. My daughter's cheeseburger look like it was made from powder mix instead of from real meat. Above average prices for underwhelming food. Not again.

Plenty of loose style meat. Roll was a bit soggy even with the holes in the styrofoam container and the fact that I didn't let it sit longer than getting to the car since I hadn't eaten all day. Good fries even though I'm not a fan of season salt. I know a lot of folks like the stuff. A small Philly with up to three veggy toppings (mine was mushrooms, onions, and banana peppers) with mayo and a fry was eight dollars and change. Good amount of food. I could have used some napkins though and maybe some ketchup. I know I'm not raving about it but I would eat there again.

Fantastic authentic Philly cheesesteaks from a family owned establishment. They're generous in the meat, willing to experiment (I got a Philly with chicken beef and bacon), and great prices. Good place for a filling meal. Authentic down to the bread which is from a big Philadelphia bakery, pretty cool. Go here for a cheaper alternative to an expensive dinner or lunch, then be surprised by how good the food is.

I cannot believe that I have not written a review for this place before. We eat here once or twice a month when coming back from the beach. I will start by saying that Peppers on 707 has the best cheesesteak in the area, but we always enjoy our stop here too. There is not really service because you order at the counter and then they drop it off at your table. The food is always fresh prepared right in front of you. That is good and bad. Good for the obvious reasons and bad because if there is a crowd and the kitchen is short staffed you might need to camp out for your food. That has only happened twice for us. We get both chicken and steak sandwiches. Always good. I agree with the other review that the meat is not heavily spiced. I think that is one of the reasons I like it. It just tastes like chopped up meat. If your heart can handle it, order the cheese fries. They come swimming in the cheese sauce. Takes a coupe years off your life, but you would think it is worth it as you eat each fry. Bread is key to these sandwiches and theirs is always good. The outside looks a little sketchy, but that is usually another sign of good food. So stop in and as Nancy G. says get a steak wit whiz.

Had lunch with the kids. Kids loved their Bacon Cheeseburgers. I had the club, it was very good. They use real cheese, not wrapped imitation. Sandwich meats tasted extremely fresh, maybe I just came at the right time. Staff was very nice and helpful, I wasn't expecting the fast food style pay, we came in and sat down, and they waited on us like a regular restaurant, and as I noticed others walking in they ordered and payed then went and sat down. Great place for a sandwich.

Just moved to the area and was driving around when i saw their new sign, mmmm a cheese steak sounds good, so i stopped in and got a cheese steak with provo and whiz and I thought it was great, i came back two days later and got another one, they were both very good in my book. Did need some salt and pepper, but still good.

Gotta give credit where it's due, and as a native of Philadelphia I know my steaks...this place is "Da BOMB!". Usually when you travel out of Philly and order a cheesesteak you get NOTHING like a cheesesteak. I can't say enough how impressive it is to get the real deal away from the banks of the Delaware River! First thing I have to offer in the way of menu recommendations is TRY THE HOMEMADE CHIPS!!!!!!! 3 A's....awesome, amazing, ADDICTIVE!!! Perfection in a basket! Next, and take my word for this, ask what the guy behind the counter recommends. I would've made the mistake of getting a cheesesteak with fried onions, but the guy recommended a "Pigs in a Blanket" sandwich, the best thing that's ever happened to a cheesesteak! This sandwich is genius!!! But look around the place at what others are having and suddenly you'll be challenged to select just one sandwich. They all look sooooo gooood! Everyone in our group loved their food. The name of the place is a little misleading; they have more than cheesesteaks. The menu has a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. The staff was nice and the place is kid-friendly. The prices are reasonable. If you're in the Myrtle Beach area, make this a stop. No regrets...Just one weird observation, the man behind th counter jumped into a photo of our group. I didn't see that until I got home. Good times. Good times.

We had lunch here and found the food to be just average, which was surprising considering other reviews we'd read. Staff was super friendly, but the cheesesteak itself had (only) one big, soft, piece of leaf lettuce on it, along with mayonnaise, the cheese and meat. There was a very generous amount of meat on the sandwich, but it was strangely lacking in flavor; almost as if no spices or seasonings were used in cooking it. The bread was very good, fresh, and a great complement to the sandwich. Had they used iceburg lettuce, preferably shredded or if not, a few pieces, along with seasoning the meat, it would have been a fantastic sandwich. In fairness, my husband loved his cheesesteak and thought it was great. They do have a peppers bar, where they have some 4-5 types of peppers you can add to your sandwich, along with other condiments. We also had onion rings, which were very good. I'd be willing to try it again, just to be sure we didn't catch them on an 'off' day. Will update this review at that time!

Came by this place for lunch. Ordered the small cheesesteak to go. Service was fairly swift, and the menu had many kinds of sandwiches. The cheese steak was ok, I've had better and I've had worse. It wasn't cheesy enough for my taste. I give it 3 stars because it was ok, and I'd try it again. Next time I may try one of the other sandwiches they offer.

Simply the BEST reuben sandwich in Horry County! My husband, who's from Philadelphia SWEARS by the cheesesteaks - steak with whiz and nothing else, just like at Pat's in Phily!

As someone who grew up in Philadelphia, I really enjoyed the cheesesteaks from this place. Perfect blend of steak and cheese. The bread was great too. Service is excellent.
